Payments and Refunds

Domain categories and warranty

Every domain belongs to one of three categories: Solid, Offshore or Imperium. You see the category in the bot before you pay. It determines whether there is a warranty, how long it lasts and what form compensation can take.

Solid. The basic category with no warranty. The domain is bought "as is" and at your own expense. If the Registrar or infrastructure providers block it, remove delegation, refuse renewal or restrict it in any other way, we have no obligation to replace, restore, renew or refund. You accept all of these risks in full.

Offshore and Imperium. The warranty applies if the Registrar blocked the domain for reasons not related to a violation of "What's not allowed" and "Suspension and refusal of service".

The warranty does not cover domains that were used for prohibited content. In that case it ends automatically and without notice, and your losses are not compensated.

Payments are non‑refundable

The service is considered fully delivered from the moment a domain is successfully registered or transferred. Money paid is not returned, except in three cases: the warranty of your category, the "Refunds" section, and mandatory rules of applicable law.

Fees of the Registrar and payment intermediaries, and network fees, are not returned under any circumstances.

Renewing domains

Start the renewal no later than 7 calendar days before the domain's expiry date.

What happens after expiry:

  1. Grace Period, usually 30 days. The domain can be renewed in the standard way.
  2. Redemption Period, usually another 30 days. Restoring a domain at this stage involves significant extra costs, which you pay in full.

We are not responsible for a domain lost because it was not renewed in time.

Refunds

A refund is possible only in three cases:

  • the warranty of your category applies (see "Domain categories and warranty");
  • because of a technical error on our side, the domain was not registered within 48 hours of payment;
  • a refund is directly required by mandatory rules of the law of the Russian Federation, including Law of the Russian Federation No. 2300‑1 of 07.02.1992 "On Protection of Consumer Rights".

There is no refund when:

  • a domain was blocked on the grounds listed in "What's not allowed" and "Suspension and refusal of service";
  • the domain is in the Solid category;
  • in a dispute you have no convincing evidence of legitimate use of the domain;
  • there are other material violations of this Agreement;
  • the payment was for buying, activating or renewing the Service's internal subscription. You can turn off its automatic renewal yourself, and we notify you in advance when it is about to end.

Payments via SBP

The refund goes to the same bank account and through the same operator of the Faster Payments System (SBP) that was used for the original payment. We don't refund to other details, except when the original account is unavailable (see below).

Submit the request through support (see "Contact"). It must contain:

  • the date and time of the transaction;
  • the payment amount;
  • the SBP Operation ID;
  • a short justification with a reference to the relevant part of this Agreement.

Timeframes:

  • review: within 24 hours of receiving the request. You get a notice of approval or a reasoned refusal;
  • sending the transfer: no later than 72 hours after approval;
  • arrival of the money depends on the rules of the receiving bank and the SBP operator. In the vast majority of cases it arrives within one business day after we send it.

Fees of the SBP operator, the issuing bank, the receiving bank and other payment intermediaries, charged on the original payment or on the refund, are not compensated by us.

If a refund to the original account is objectively impossible for reasons beyond our control (you closed the account, the bank lost its license, the account was blocked by a decision of authorized bodies and the like), you provide alternative details and copies of documents confirming that you made the original payment. The refund method is then agreed individually.

We may ask for additional information and documents needed to confirm that the claim is legitimate and to identify the payer. The review period is extended for the time it takes you to provide them.

Other payment methods

For payments by bank card, cryptocurrency or any other method available in the interface, the refund goes to the details the original payment came from. If those details are unavailable through your fault, we choose the refund method.

Warranty refunds

Refunds under the Offshore and Imperium warranty are credited only to your internal balance in the Service. These funds cannot be withdrawn.

If a domain was bought with previously returned warranty funds, no further warranty compensation is provided for it.
